The Raritan Gallery (TRG) is an incorporeal digital arts gallery and platform that presents an eclectic mix of contemporary visual art from around the world, across all mediums. Founded by Curator/Digital Designer Damani Adadevoh and Entrepreneur/Social Strategist Shawn Harris as a fashion & arts blog in 2013, The Raritan Gallery has since evolved from its original focus. “We’ve shifted our focus to curate visual art across all mediums,” Adadevoh says. “We’ve also developed a much stronger social media presence, most notably on Instagram.”
With an audience of over 35,000 followers, The Raritan Gallery has steadily grown over the past 3 years to become one of the premiere visual online channels and an informal digital poetry club. “Our platform gives people with visual minds a space to meet and coalesce,” Harris states. “On average, we draw around 200,000 digital impressions each week. We’re extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished.”
The Raritan Gallery’s platform brings together followers who include some of the world’s top artists, designers and creatives. “We aim to operate as a source for creative inspiration, and to give proper context to so much of the contemporary work that isn’t given the credibility it deserves from traditional art spaces and institutions,” Adadevoh says.
Prime Gallery: Embracing the robust Jersey City art scene. Prime Real Estate Group is taking on Prime Gallery, a fully operational art gallery housed within their 2nd office location of JC Heights.
“We present a space for audiences to experience high quality, challenging and new artworks in a wide range of contemporary visual art media through solo/group exhibitions, performances, publications and events,” Harris states. “Monochrome is just one example of how we promote and showcase thoughtfully curated visual art.”
Prime Gallery features works by artists near and far in 6 curated exhibitions per year, hosted by Gallery Director Maria Kosdan, in addition to guest Curators.
The April 6th reception for Monochrome will also host a live performance by Pool Cosby.
