Talk

For Miguel Angel Salazar (Mexico 1988) the process is key in his artistic production. The exploration of materials and extensions of the artwork itself have allowed him to re-think the role that techniques and possible material outputs mean for the discourse of the piece. In this talk Salazar will shar his processes and motivations behins a cycle of materialisation/dematerialisation/rematerialisation and the importance of this cycle in his formal and discursive decisions.

Complementing the talk there will be an exhibition of the artist's most recent artwork and a selection of texts and essays that focus on the processes of manipulation of materials inside the contemporary artistic production.
